Darin Marshall is a Bay Area legend among electronic musicians and djs. His label, Belief Systems, defined the blueprint for techno in the San Francisco Bay Area, and launched many respected artists – Shawn Hatfield (Twerk), Matthew Curry (Safety Scissors), WARP Records artist Stewart Walker, Kit Clayton, and more.
After releasing “Starbase Lounge Music” on Nude Photography 2010, Darin returns with this deep, soulful cut. Monument features some stand-out remixes by John Selway, Jon Gillham, and Portland-based DJ and producer Patrick Anthony Frye. Cover photography by Darin Marshall.

Reviews
“I could see this one defining the summer of 2010 as an SF techno scene go-to, great progression and feel without losing steam at any point.” – Andy W (Mutor Soundsystem), Resource Records
“This is an excellent release. The original has a nice smooth low end and a hypnotic atmospheric quality. I really dig the Jon Gillham mix with it’s grooving tech type stabs, very danceable. The John Selway mix is hot, nice deep progressive with subtle layering. I can see this release fitting into a wide range of sets.” – Wesley Dysart, Steamtown Records
