Portland, Oregon – January 28, 2010 – Portland’s newest independent electronic music label announces the release of its first compilation, NPM10001 – Nude Photography 2010, featuring tracks from dance music veterans Gustavo Lanzas (Audioelectronic), Christoph Caominh (DJ Caltrop), Darin Marshall, and Jon Gillham.

Nude Photography 2010 covers a spectrum of dancefloor-friendly sounds ranging from the deep, swinging tech house of “Acid Love” by Audioelectronic, the Kraftwerk-meets-Moroder electrodisco of DJ Caltrop, the irresistible techno-influenced deep house of Darin Marshall’s “Starbase Lounge Music”, and the driving techno of Jon Gillham’s “Tracer”.

Support from Portland and San Francisco based DJs has been strong, and anticipation for the retail release grows daily with djs joining the promotion list and fans joining the mailing list. Nude Photography 2010 will be available first on digital-tunes.net and beats-digital.com, with other retailers to follow soon after.

About the Artists

Audioelectronic – Gustavo Lanzas is a veteran of the San Francisco and resident at some of the longest running and most popular techno/electro clubs in the late 90s and early 00s – sf:machines, :code, Impulse, Scatter, Minimal Mondays. With releases on Belief Systems and Exact Science as Cybrid. Now residing in Portland, Gustavo is the creative force behind Nude Photo Music.

DJ Caltrop - Christoph Caominh, Bay Area transplant originally from Munich, with releases on Erkrankung Durch Musique, the label run by Munich’s cult art and music promoter Dottore Mooner of Kernkraft 400 / Zombie Nation fame, remixes for Tigerbeat6 artist Eats Tapes, and acclaimed Daly City Records artist Mochipet.

Darin Marshall – Darin launched seminal Bay Area techno label Belief Systems in 1995, and played an important part in the musical careers of many acclaimed artists – Sutekh, Twerk, Kit Clayton, Safety Scissors, and Warp recording artist Stewart Walker. Remixes by Noel Sanger and John Selway followed in 2000 and 2001. As an artist, Darin brings solid production skills and is highly respected by other producers and djs for having a unique ear for arrangement and composition.

Jon Gillham – Mancunian ex-patriate Jon Gillham brought his experiences from Manchester’s explosive music scene first to Florida, playing keys for successful cover band Big Wide World, and then to the early 90’s San Francisco electronic music scene as a founding member of Protolab, regarded as the Bay Area’s first live drum & bass group. Jon has collaborated with artists such as George Duke, and toured extensively.
