Adam Jay / Angel Alanis

October 06, 2010

One of the most prolific and rising figures in techno, Adam Jay has toured the world as a DJ and live performer on 5 continents and 19 countries, and released a constant stream of tastemaker techno on some top labels – Monoid, Pornographic, Primate, Primevil, as well as Ben Sims’ own Theory Recordings. Adam’s sound can be best defined as soul infused techno with constant motion.

Angel Alanis (aka A-squared, Subsonik) is one of Chicago’s most creatively diverse and consistent producers of dance music today. With an uninterrupted flow of releases since 1997, he has unleashed explosive tracks ranging from funky disco workouts to tribal, through the depths of house and minimal techno. Angel’s unique and distinct production style has given him the opportunity to collaborate with and re-mix for artists such as Sinead O’Connor, Kool Moe Dee, Julia Fordman, DJ Dan, Robbie Rivera, and a re-mix for Joey Negro which occupied the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top 20.

Remix support for this release comes from Gold Code, Audioelectronic, Mutor Soundsystem, and Jon Gillham. Stay tuned for a SOLID release.
